Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

It is a great privilege for me to write a message for this magazine as a descendant of Moulavibazari. I understand that Moulvibazar District Council (MDC) is going to celebrate their 8th anniversary this year and they are publishing a second edition of Anchaal magazine which will contain their present activities and future plans. Also, I learn that it is their aim to bring the high profile greater Moulvibazaris of the United Kingdom onto one platform. This is undoubtedly a great initiative by the MDC, certainly it is going to be hard work and I personally congratulate MDC’s executive committee members for their prodigious initiative.

Moulvibazaris’ contribution in the UK is remarkable especially in the light of the settlement of Bangladeshis in Britain in earlier years and their involvement in the curry industry. I am extremely proud of MDC’s social welfare work in the UK and Bangladesh.
