Moulvibazar Districts Council (MDC) was established in 2006 with a hand full peoples living in East of England Region, the vision of the founder was to gather all the Moulvibazar peoples under one roof with the aims and objectives as below. MDC is an voluntary, non-profits making and non political organisation, because of our correct focus in mind set we are running very steady and smoothly therefore we are celebrating our 8th successive year in 2014. MDC has done number of activities in past years like distributing Rikshaws to poor families in Moulvibazar Districts, Helped poor school in the region, helped families in natural disaster effected area, achievement award given to talented students in 2008 to encourage them to achieve higher education in the future, trip to Brighton, Bournemouth, Portsmouth, south end on Sea, British Museum, British library and Blackpool with our young children’s to learn about various of different things and culture. Supported many charities in UK and Bangladesh.
As a Founder member of the Moulvibazar District Council (MDC) Executive Committee, I have decided with the executive committee to take the initiative to muster the high profile greater Moulvibazaris of the United Kingdom onto one platform.
Our boards of patron consists of various community activists much like Meah Monirul Alam Bajloor Rashid MBE, Dr Wali Tasar Uddin MBE, Dr M G Moula, Saidur Rahamn JP, Celebrity Chef Tommy Miah, World record holder for papadom tower Celebrity Chef Tipu Rahman and Many mores, MDC will get additional patron outside these peoples to be added onto the patron boards, these individuals range from entrepreneurs and celebrities. On this point, we believe your valuable advice alongside these individuals can lead to betterment for the greater Moulvibazari and to collectively achieve cultural, social and educational development.
Aims and Objectives:
- To work for social, cultural and educational development of the Moulvibazar district people in the UK and in Bangladesh.
- To uphold equal opportunity and work for good relationship amongst all members of the Moulvibazari and other community.
- To be non-party political non-profit making organization.
- To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Moulvibazari (MDC) residing in UK.
- To support any other charitable organization in the purpose of Natural disaster any where in Bangladesh, UK or rest of the World.
- To set up initiatives and opportunities for the local community in the field of vocational training, supplementary education and employment.
- To organize and hold seminars, meetings and exhibitions for all our community in U.K and Bangladesh to promote MDC UK.
- To provide the facilities for elderly people and women for their welfare right entitlement.
- To provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure activities primarily in U.K and Bangladesh.
- MDC is obliged to protect its members being abused by race or religion.
